Access to Do It Online may not be available due to essential maintenance during the early hours of Monday 26 May 2025. We expect it to be over by 8.30am. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are experiencing a very dry Spring and wildfires are more likely. Never intentionally start fires - do not use BBQs on any of our sites and get rid of cigarettes responsibly.

Country parks

Come and visit our country parks. They are fantastic places to come for a walk, have a picnic, watch wildlife and enjoy the fresh air.

  • Hardwick Park. This site is fully accessible.
  • Pow Hill, north of Edmundbyers. There is one easy access route.
  • Waldridge Fell, near Chester-le-Street. There are two easy access routes.

There are designated barbecue areas at both Hardwick Park and Wharton Park. Unauthorised fires and barbecues are not permitted on any other of our countryside sites.
