Work experience in public health

For a number of years, we have offered young people (in year 10 at school) the opportunity to learn about public health through work experience placements.

These placements are usually for one week at a time under the supervision of a public health practitioner and where we allow the young person to meet members of the team and provide opportunities for them to shadow us in our work. This helps them to understand the variety of work we do across the team and offers them the opportunity to ask questions and consider the range of careers in public health.

We will be able to arrange four placements over the course of the school year.

If you are a young person or teacher interested in exploring this further then Contact Public Health.
