Defensible documentation training


Delivered in partnership with training2care this virtual session aims to increase your knowledge of defensible documentation.

It begins by explaining what is "defensible documentation" and types of documents.

Who the course is for

This course is ideal for all health and social care staff.

Learning method

The course is a virtual session over two hours, at the end of the session you will complete a short assessment to evidence the learning which will take you approximately one hour to complete.

You will learn Caldicott Principles.

What you will learn

By completing this course, you will gain an understanding of defensible documentation and the types of documents, which will develop and improve your skills in a health and social care setting.

You will cover

  • Introduction to defensible documentation
  • Data protection - Caldicott Principles
  • Record keeping - good practice guidelines

Course benefits

  • Understand what is meant by defensible documentation and the types of documents. You will learn good practice guidelines for record keeping and what should be documented with the use of "plain English".
  • Course delivered via virtual session to give you flexibility of study.

  • Thursday 6 March 2025 - 2.30 to 4.30pm
