Book a bulky waste (large items) collection

If you've got large items (bulky waste) to dispose of like furniture or white goods, or DIY waste like baths or radiators, which are too big to fit into your bin, we can take it away for a fee.

Collection charge

There is a charge based on what the item is and how many you would like taken away. You pay for this when you book online, before the collection will take place.

Small and large items - mix your items

You can have a mixture of small and large items a maximum of two of each for the minimum charge of £20. The cost of the collection will be automatically calculated as you add your items to the list on the online form.

Items we cannot collect

There are items that we cannot collect, these include: plasterboard, asbestos, hazardous waste, tyres, gas canisters/bottles, paint tins containing paint, chemicals, sunbed tubes, fluorescent light tubes and large batteries (from ride on toys/mobility scooters).

On the day of collection

You must:

  • place all items together at the kerbside where your bin is normally collected
  • only put out for collection the things you have booked with us - we won't take extra items away
  • bag small items
  • put your items out for 7.00am on the collection day, but please don't put them out the day before as this could lead to an unlicensed person taking them and possibly flytipping them

Please note that we cannot enter the home/property, and do not collect items from inside.  This includes residents on the assist list.

Other options

It may be that this is not the best way to get rid of your large items. Also consider:

These bulky collection prices are for domestic household properties only, please see our business waste collection information for details on commercial waste collections.
