Birthday parties at Hardwick Park

Our birthday parties are perfect for children wanting something different to celebrate their big day.

Birthday parties are seasonal and run between March and October having a break over the winter months.  If you want to get in touch, we will add you to the list and finalise the details when the parties begin again in spring.

What's included

All packages include use of our yurt, room decoration, a one and a half hour led activity session, food, full day parking permits and invitations for up to 25 children. A hot buffet, balloons, goody bags, party cakes and party hats are not included in your package.

All our birthday parties are held within our yurt. The yurt offers a unique space separate from other park visitors. It is also a great space for fun should the weather not be perfect on the day.

All of our birthday party packages cost £295. We can accommodate a maximum of 30 children at an extra £5 per head.

Duration: three hours

  • 10.00am to 1.00pm (activities 10.30am to 12noon)
  • 2.00pm to 5.00pm (activities 2.30pm to 4.00pm) (Spring and Summer only).

All parties are in and around the yurt and outside so please dress accordingly with layers and Wellington boots. Hardwick Park is a busy outdoor area and we ask parents to be mindful that some animals such as swans and ducks live at the park. The area around the lake may be slippery depending on the weather conditions and traffic in the car park is often busy.

Please keep hold of your invite as this can be exchanged for a parking pass.

What kind of food the children will get

Food will be provided in a party box containing;

  • crisps
  • yoghurt
  • chocolate bar
  • fruit or Babybel
  • flavoured drink

Sandwiches will be ham and cheese. Half of the party boxes will contain ham and half will contain cheese. Signs will be clearly displayed with ingredients listed for parents to choose as appropriate for their child in accordance with Natasha's Law.

Note: party box contents may alter depending on availability. Please notify us of any dietary requirements.

We can provide catering too, please Contact Hardwick Park birthday parties for more information.

Turn yourself into a real superhero! Make a superhero mask, collect your superhero power to complete the challenges and learn all of the skills you need to defeat the villains.

Mad about Minibeasts (seasonal)

Take part in minibeast hunts in the woodland areas and pond dipping in one of our ponds. You will learn about different types of minibeasts, their different habitats and join in some fun games along the way.

Woodland Wizards

Fizzing fun will start the party's wizarding magic! Explore all things mystical on our park trail and take part in wand, spell and potion making fun. You will then make your own wizard familiar to take home.

What to do on arrival

When arriving for your party, please remember Hardwick Park is a busy spot with lots going on, particularly near the car parks. Please make sure all your guests know to bring their invitation with them as it also doubles as a 'parking pass' for the day. The yurt's location is signed from the car parks and signage from the visitor centre will be put out on the day of your party.
