Activities for young people


Are your children always looking for something to do? This page will help you find information on a whole host of activities for children and young people in the County Durham area.

Family Hubs youth workers plan and deliver a wide range of out of school activities and youth work programmes around County Durham. Activities are delivered in youth centres, community buildings, school sites and through mobile and street based work. The programmes help young people learn through social experiences and opportunities. Find out what's on at your nearest Family Hub

AAPs

The county's About AAPs run a whole host of continuous programmes. 

Children and Young People's Network

The Children and Young People's Network is available to disabled children and young people up to 25 years old.

Durham Music Service

Durham Music Service offers information on live music performances around the county - and can help budding musicians take up an instrument themselves.

Families Information Service

The County Durham Families Information Service is a free and impartial service that supports families with children and young people on all aspects of family life. The website has a Families Information Service: Local Offer section which makes it easier to find everything you need to know for 0-25 year olds with special educational needs or disabilities.

OASES

OASES provide a wide variety of support for schools and young people including after-school sessions and holiday activities from sites across the county. For more information visit OASES.

Sport and exercise
