Falls Prevention training (domiciliary care)
Delivered in partnership with County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust this virtual course is designed for all domiciliary care staff and will provide advice and information on identifying fall risk factors and how to reduce falls.
It aims to provide you with knowledge in preventing falls for older people to help reduce admissions to hospital, reduce visits to Accident and Emergency, reduce injuries that are sustained from falls and promote safe mobility.
Who the course is for
This course is for all domiciliary home care staff who work in health and social care.
Learning methods
The course is delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams. You will receive a certificate of attendance on completing the course.
It is one session over approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, allowing time for questions that may arise during the session. You will complete an interactive quiz which will need access to a smartphone.
