Dyslexia workshop - Busting myths about dyslexia


This session is for parents and carers of children who have literacy difficulties, including dyslexia.

You will have the chance to ask questions, share your experiences and learn about the resources and strategies that may be helpful for your child. 

The session will be led by an advisory teacher from the Cognition and Learning team .

What it is not

This session is not an assessment for dyslexia.

This session is not for children or young people to attend. 

Where sessions run

  • Thursday 20 June 2024, 9.30am to 11.30am at Bishop Auckland Family Hub
  • Wednesday 26 June 2024, 1.00pm to 3.00pm at Stanley Family Hub

Spaces are limited - please call us to book your place.

These are pilot sessions and we will be asking for feedback. We will be looking to add further sessions across the county later in the year.
