Dignity in Care


This course is eLearning and available through the Care Academy. It aims to support adults in health and social care by developing the knowledge and understanding required to promote their dignity and provide effective support.

Who the course is for

This course is for all Health and Social Care staff.

Learning method

The course is an elearning course consisting of 3 modules and will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. 

What you will learn

The course will help you:

  • Define dignity by understanding what it means in social care with awareness of the common core principles.
  • Recognise relevant legislation, regulation and good practice. 
  • Promote dignity by understanding and demonstrating through appropriate care support.
