Staying cool course

Staying cool offers three courses - one just for parents and carers, one for parents, carers and their teenager, and one just for teenagers.

For parents and carers

This course provides you with the knowledge and skills to manage your anger or frustration, by helping you increase your understanding and self-awareness of your emotions.

This course is one day (9.00am to 4.00pm).

For parents, carers, parent-figures and their teenager

In this course you will work with your teenager to understand their emotions and how to deal with them. You will learn:

  • to understand your teenager's emotions
  • how to support your teenager to manage their anger or frustration in a positive way
  • how to support your teenager to take responsibility for their actions

This course is one day (9.00am to 4.00pm)

For teenagers

Staying Cool Teens provides knowledge, skills and ideas to understand and address your emotions. The sessions help you to understand your anger or frustration and how to deal with it, to prevent it turning into aggression.

This is a one day course (9.00am to 4.00pm), or runs for one hour per week for six weeks.
