Pool programme review

During October 2022, we asked you to help us shape our new timetables for 2023, by giving your views on how you use your local pool, what's important to you and what you'd like to see included in future timetables.

What's the latest?

During October 2022 we asked you to help us shape our new timetables for 2023 by giving your views on how you use your local pool, what's important to you and what you'd like to see included in future timetables. Over 600 people responded as a result, we published our new timetables for each of the pools.

To see the current timetables, please use the links below.

Background

We have 10 public swimming pools in County Durham, all supported by a busy timetable of activities including public swimming sessions for adults and families, learn to swim programmes, club and school sessions along with other water-based activity such as inflatable's, pool parties, Aquafit, scuba-diving and water polo.

Our pool programmes are reviewed every one to two years to check that what's on offer meets the needs of all our users, while also encouraging more people to swim or take part in other water-based activities.

Have your say

Please note: as the main pool at Consett leisure centre was  temporarily closed, we did not carry out a consultation about that centre.

The survey closed for comment at 5.00pm on Friday 21 October 2022.
