Full Circle - training for professionals

This training is for professionals such as social workers, police, GPs, school nurses and health workers.

Support we can offer

To enhance your support for children and families, we are able to offer you a one day training course looking at the impact of attachment challenges and trauma on children, families and professionals and how to practise in a trauma informed way. This will support safety and healing for children and their families. This course is available to our children's social care, early help staff and Durham Safeguarding Children Partnership (DSCP) partner agencies. The training is also available to purchase for external delegates at a competitive cost.

What people say about the training

  • "I have recently attended the Full Circle training which I feel has changed my whole perspective on how I view families and my approach to interventions. Gaining an understanding of how trauma effects the brain, decision making, and attachment has made me reflect upon domestic abuse and the impact this has. I now feel I look at this from a different stance and can disseminate this knowledge onto the families I work with. I also feel this has given me an insight into how generations of families continue in the cycle of abuse and how best to try to break this cycle."
  • "I just wanted to say another thank you to you both. This is definitely the best training I have attended this year. I have scribbled so many notes, doubled my to do list with ideas and research. I genuinely feel like I can change the direction of cases within my Team. My thought process was already in line with this, but this as added so much, I am excited to get started! I could have done 2 days!"
  • "This session was excellent with lots of food for thought, to add to my own toolbox for working with families. I can't think of any points which would enhance."
