Population Screening Programme

Screening is a way of finding out if people are at higher risk of a health problem, so that early treatment can be offered, or information given to help them make informed decisions.

Screening programmes include:

  • antenatal and newborn baby
  • diabetic eye
  • cervical screening
  • breast screening
  • bowel screening

More information on screening programmes can be found at:

Remember you can also speak to your GP surgery or pharmacist if you have a particular question.
