Funding and Programmes

This service manages funding for the council which is external e.g. from the European Union. The team leads and co-ordinates the development of applications for funding and provides funding advice and support. The team also identify general funding opportunities.

It is responsible for the management of funding programmes for regeneration including European Funding such as European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Rural Development Programme for England ( RDPE Network). The team is also responsible for monitoring spending of capital funding i.e. purchasing significant items such as land and vehicles.
