Ask a question at council meetings

Members of the public are able to ask questions at meetings of our Cabinet and full council.

Cabinet

Our Cabinet and the Leader of the Council discusses and makes decisions about our county-wide issues, policies and strategies, which affect more than one of our services. You can Ask a question at Cabinet at the start of ordinary meetings or on agenda items.

Full council

You can Ask a question at full council which comprises all 126 county councillors. It has responsibility for approving, adopting and amending the council's policy and budget framework. This includes major policies and strategies. It also agrees and amends all aspects of the council's constitution, makes appointments to committees and joint committees with other councils, agrees the council's Members' Allowances Scheme and deals with a range of matters that have not been delegated to committees.
