Children's Occupational Therapy
Some children and young people often experience difficulties in carrying out everyday tasks or establishing daily routines such as sleeping, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, or participating in mealtimes. This could be due to several reasons including developmental delay, medical needs, behavioural issues, learning difficulties or physical disabilities.
As the young person grows older, and if the difficulties continue, they might need focused intervention or support, so they can participate in school, college, or leisure activities. Traditionally, the intervention to meet these specific needs has been referred to as Occupational Therapy. However, every child is different and various levels of support may be required at different times depending upon the changing needs of the child/young person.
