Proposed conservation area status for Ovington (phase three)
We asked for the views of residents and interested parties on the potential designation of Ovington as a conservation area.
Background
Following long discussions and a public meeting in late 2019, we received a request from Ovington Parish Council, on behalf of local residents, to consider the designation of Ovington as a conservation area.

What is happening now
At a drop-in session at Ovington Village Hall on 12 July, we were asked to hold a further consultation. This would:
- explain more clearly the implications of the Article 4 Direction
- allow feedback on the revised conservation area character appraisal
We have sent a letter to each property explaining how the Article 4 Direction will affect that specific property. It also includes a list of frequently asked questions. The updates to the revised conservation area character appraisal are based on feedback from the last consultation.

What happens next
Once we receive comments on the final conservation area character appraisal and Article 4 Direction these will be reviewed and we will produce a schedule of comments before the formal designation of the area.
